Well personally I know nothing about them.I do know that it is a rear engine rider. 8 hp and has a briggs engine. As far as I know, it is proabably like any other rear rider. Toro I guess would have sold it for maybe $900-$1200 new max if not cheaper would be my guess. If its in good shape, taken care of and the oil looks good then show more interest. Check the engine for stuff that not supposed to be on there. Check and make sure it pulls good and cuts good. All tires are nice and hold air and not dry rotted. if all this stuff looks good and is in pretty descent shape then I personally would offer him no more than $450. Thats me. Other people might want more but thats me. If theres a few minor problems or so then maybe $300. If it needs any major repair like new tires, or it can not turn the key at the owner house and it will not start without out knowing what wrong with it then I would give him maybe $75-$150. But start out with those and go from there. Hopefully that will get you starter. Good Luck with it and I hope you are able to get it. Thanks Dusty

Another Wheel Horse owner in Indiana

I have a few Wheel horses myself and would have a hard time using anything else. At the present I have 7 if I recall right. A 516H, 2- 520H's, 616Z, B-82, A-100 and a 16 Auto. So yes there will be more owners showing up here.

I've got one. I was told it is a 1969 or 70 or somewere close. It is in the garage at my place in Missouri. Next time I go over there I think I will bring it back with me to Illinois. It is about 7 hp and has an all gear deck. No belt for the blades. Probably about 36in cut or so. Hydrastatic drive. Electric start.

I have a Toro 523 DXI it has the diesel engine , I have about 664 hrs on the engine and it is the best engine I have ever owned. I live in central Wisconsin and have never had any problems starting it on below zero weather. I never really liked the 60" mower deck but with a few tweaks its workin out OK. She is just a beast at blowing snow. I have owned this about 15 years now and it has been all that I needed. The Cadilac of Mowers.:D

I have a C-160, year unknown, with a 18hp Tecumseh ohv (not original). I also have the remains of an 8-32 rear engine rider that I am parting out.

The C-160 is an ok little tractor. It is a little to easy to shear the rear hub keys though. Got a deck with it but never tried to mow with it, got a Gravely for mowing. All in all, it is an ok little pulling machine, but I like my Ford LGT125 better. If a decent offer came up, I may let it go soon.
