I have a Craftsman Rear Engine Rider model #247.290000 (Same as Cub Cadet and Troy-Bilt). It runs and cuts fine, but when I push the clutch/brake down all the way, I sometimes hear a "clang clang clang" as if something is slightly hitting on a pulley or something. The picture shows the plate that is attached to the clutch/brake, and two cables attached to it. The one on the left goes back to the transmission. I changed the spring on the end of it, thinking that this was the issue. The one on the right I think is the speed adjustment rod. There is a threaded ferrule on the end, where it can be tightened or loosened, but I can't find anything specific on the adjustment. Any ideas? Thanks, in advance, for the help!
