Another Contest!

2810 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Brad
We have decided to hold another contest here at MLMF. This is open to everyone and the topic is wide open. We want to see your projects where you really show off your skills. The winner of this contest will be given a Lifetime Premium Membership to MyLawnMowerForum. If you are already the holder of a Lifetime Membership, the prize is tangible and you can pass it along to a friend or another worthy recipient. Anyway, here is the announcement that has been put together describing the contest:

MLMF CONTEST! "Show Us Your Skills And Stuff!"

We invite all members to participate in the upcoming contest. All forms of media (Mechanical, Metal, Wood or ??) are gladly welcomed with NO limitations on the engineering and design. We would like to hear, in your own words, how you built, modified or created that certain project and with your detailed story with before, during and after pictures included to aid those that would like to try what you've
accomplished. No project too big or too small.

Winners will be selected by a closed poll and receive a Premium Lifetime Membership.

This contest will run for approximately 3 1/2 weeks, with the poll being posted the week of Thanksgiving. Remember, pictures are good and are worth a thousand words, but we would also like to hear about your project in your own words, so post away!

Mark777, Mark / Ohio, and Brad would like to thank Philip, the Verticalscope rep that oversees this forum, as well as Verticalscope itself for suggesting the contest and making the prize available for awarding.

This sounds exiting! Is there a limit on the amount of entries that can be submitted?

I think we (mods and admin) were all thinking along the lines of one entry per member.

Depending somewhat on the participation and response to this contest, it is not totally out of the realm of the possible that a similar themed contest might be run at some future date.

Thus either way you might not want to put all of your cards on the table the first time around. ;)
I agree that 1 entry per person. Not to limit entries but to have fresh entries available for the next contest. Any time that you want to post a project or hobby info feel free to post away. No need to limit it to contests. We are always looking for attention getting posts.

Good Luck!

I agree! One entry per member and the more entries we have, the more exciting it will be ;)

There may be a case where a single entry may have two parts (I.E. A garden tractor and a trailer) that a member, who supplies detailed information and pictures would like to enter...but we'd like to see a level playing field for all members creations.
I wanna play! one question, My chop top Ford is probably 6 to 8 months from being done. So, the question is,can I enter the custom dash that Im building from the original dash.
Sure you can. Hmmmm, I can see it now. 20 requests to DrBailey for help in creating custom dashes for members John Deere, Case, Wheel Horse, Cub Cadets, etc. tractors.....

LOL , but Im working on a car! might not be to many request for that.:D
I will get back on the tractor rebuilds next year.
Come on, members! Let's see some of those skills! Doesn't have to be Lawn Mower related. Just a project that you are proud of and would like to share.
Here is the address to the contest section. If you have an entry, just start your own thread and post there. That will help to keep all of the entries in the same area and easily viewed/commented on individually. Thanks
