I'm thinking to put a wooden box on the front end to move fire wood in winter.would I be taxing the trans axle too much?Gonna use it on mostly level ground.

Yes, it is a lawn mower not a tractor. Roger
I think it would be possible depending on the amount of weight you intend to put in the box, and how long you

want your lawnmower to last. If you would be hauling mostly dry light wood, it would certainly beat carrying it

by hand.:)
I dont think it would be any more strain on the engine compared to it turning the blades on the deck when cutting grass, the mower has a 4 speed trans axle that I am concerned about ??
Weight on axle bearings that were never designed to carry that much load. Try it as you seem determined but do not be surprised if you have transmission problems. Roger
