Hello Everyone.

I have a 2004 757. I had a severe oil leak and did the following to fix it.

I removed the throttle/ governor control plate to replace the crankcase gasket, crankshaft seal and governor shaft seal. Before I removed it I marked its position in reference to the bolt heads. I then laid it to the side with cables still attached.

When I removed the governor arm I marked its position on the shaft.

When I reassembled I didn't notice that the main spring under the plate had came loose. Started the engine and all it would do is idle. I removed the plate and reattached this spring to where I THOUGHT it should go and now the engine starts full throttle.

Where did I screw up? Help needed!
