I have a toro 522xi with a Kohler air cooled motor that just started overheating. Oil level is ok. All screens are clean. Can anyone help a guy out here?

Did anything happen right before the overheating started? Could be an obstruction in the exhaust or valve adjustment problem.

No, everything was running good for the past few weeks since i changed oil. I've checked all fluids and all screens.

Are all the cooling fins behind the shroud clean?

thats the only thing i haven't done. I looked through the shroud with a work light it it didn't look bad. Blew it out with air gun, not much came out. But i guess i'll just have to take it apart and have a good look. Thanks for the info.
