Crankcase seals might be bad to allow the gas to get from carb to the combustion chamber. Roger
2 Cycle D Engine not cranking
I bought a 1975 Lawn Boy Deluxe 5239D.It finally started after about 20 or thirty pulls.It was very dirty,gas tank clean inside.I cleaned it up and took the carb off and cleaned it inside and out sense it was sitting for about 10 years.
It has good spark and it is priming,but it just will not crank.What can be the problem?I put everything back right in the carb.,cleaned all the holes.
I,m at the end and don't know what else to do.
Please help.

Since you know it's priming, Roger has a good suggestion.
See if it will pop with a drop of fuel in the cyl. , have you checked the comp. ?
Hey everybody.Got it running.It has a speed lever and i moved it to the slow setting and it starts.
