Hi all. I'm new to the forum. Stopped by a couple months ago and read some.
My problem is I have this Murray that has had the 17.5 hp single cylinder engine replaced with a 17 hp twin cyl engine. It will start just fine and run good for about 15 min, then dies like it is running out of fuel. If I pull the choke out most of the way it will start and run a little while longer. I took the side of the carb apart and cleaned it, it does not have a float bowl, but a houseing with a couple of what look like check valves and ballows with a spring. After cleaning out a couple of what look like vents in the cover of this housing, it did run better, but still dies. I put on a JD pump thinking the pump was bad, but it made no difference. Any ideas?
