Saw this on Craigslist and since it was 15 minutes from work,
and 15 minutes from home,
and on the way home.
Figured why not, Looked too good to pass up.
Just finished the restoration of my Grey Market Kubota L1500DT
and the shop seemed lonely, needed a project.
He was asking $100, got it for $60
I pretty much know what it is, a Montgomery Wards Garden Mark 5 hp Turf Trac ZYJ-79A
Barely ran, needed fuel dribbled into the carb to stay running, that is fixed.
Still a tough starter, needs more carb work, but cleaning it did wonders.
Transmission works, has a crack in the frame and needs a seat cover.
Of course I will probably strip it down and redo everything, down to new decals.
