hydro speed adjustment

Well it is tough getting old. I sure think that used to be able to adjust the speed on the Hydrostats, but can't remember.

I have Badboy Lightning 26 kawi . I really need to adjust the speed of the hydros. The slightest movement (like 1/2 ") of the steering levers make it too difficult to use in very tight areas.

This should be a simple adjustment but I need so help. I know that the BadBoy are big onspeed but I need to low this one way down,

Thank you for help.

They stopped putting adjustments on hydro controls a long while ago
Some have extra holes where the control rod joins into the lap bar .
If yours has extra holes or space where you can drill some then move the control rod closer to the pivot point of the lap bar which will alter the ratio to make the controls less sensitive .
Conversely where the control rod joins into the hydro arm make the arm longer or move the rod further out should there be adjustment holes.
Totally unfamiliar with your particular mower but that is how it was done.

Way back there used to be springs which you could back off but people were too greedy & cheap to pay for the extra adjustments so they got dropped .
