Saved another one

When I joined this forum I had just found a Simplicity Regent 12/36 on my patio. I repaired the old Simplicity. Replaced carb.fyel lines abd filters. Replaced the deck drive belt and have mowed with it last year and most of this. Now the deck belt is slippung and slinging off again. So I turned my attention to a J.D. LA130. It qas left here by my sisters boyfriend. We did not know if it would run. I put a steering wheel on it. AaAired up the tires. Put the grass catcher assembly back together. I then out a battery and gas in it. I dribbled gas into the carb and got it running. I mowed with it today.

Now I that the yard is no longer a jungle I will give the Old Simplicity some TLC and see if I can get the drive belt issue resolved.

The JD is a nice looking mower. Saving yourself $$$$ by taken care of that yourself. I always get a thrill when I resurrect an old mower that has been discarded.

I love trash day in the spring when people try to start their poorly maintained mowers after a long winter with ethanol gas in the tank....
