For the true collector, plywood mower !!

Ran across this on Craigslist in Minnesota, asking $500 I'm guessing it's a 1940's vintage similar to them making PT boats out of wood due to WWII steel shortages. It's not a DIY project.

Never saw one of them before!

Could not be many of them around in original condition. Oil or fuel leak would make the wood spongy in short order and wet grass would rot the underneath quick.

No clue how many were made but I'm sure most were tossed in the trash when that wood warped or rotted. If you had a lawnmower collection this sure would be the one that likely would stick out.
