Westwood s1200 mower with dbu-10s Sullivan hydrostatic drive

recently purchased a Westwood s1200 with a Sullivan bdu-10s hydrostatic drive that is playing up. When I purge the system in bypass by engaging forward for 5 seconds then reverse for 5 seconds and repeat a few times then disengage bypass and i put the mower in forward drive then in reverse a few times to complete purge the system after about 15 seconds the wheels start to slow down and noise can be heard then they stop and won't rotate at all until I purge the system again then the same thing happens is there any solutions that you know of to fix this problem was thinking of pulling apart and removing filter to see if it's blocked. Thank you

Thanks for the new thread Dane! We just had a issue with the hydrostatic bypass valve sticking closed on a heavy duty unit. I wonder if your machine might have it sticking partly closed as well? Worth a try.
Found a PDF as it looks like Hydrogear made the unit!
