Can a GT CVT replace an existing hydro transmission?

A recent visitor asked whether “can one of your transmissions be used to replace a hydro unit in a john deere LX 255...”

The quick answer, I'm told by the technical staff at General Transmissions, is no - GT transmissions are manufactured to meet specifications for specific products by the manufacturers. I do know that the John Deere D105 lawn tractors come equipped with the General Transmissions RS400 continuously variable transmission.
