lawn mower junky

Exmak electrical issues. Was given a non-working mower model LZAS27KC604. Was told engine lost spark. I am lousy at trouble shooting electrical issues! Getting power to ignition switch from starter. But power no place else. Replaced ignition switch and PTO switch. Getting continuity at seat, brake and control handles but no power to same switches. Great ground connection.I can jumper out ALL safety switches and get spark to engine. My questions are, Can a faulty hours meter cause this issue? How do you check an hours meter for proper function? Where can I find replacement meters if faulty? What is the function of the diode and 5 pin connection located near the battery?

found the problem. New ignition switch was bad. Replaced switch and everything was golden.

Good deal! Always nice to problem solve. Thanks for the update.
