pulling the engine on a LB 3003

repainting the deck of a 3003 buttercup. It'd be a much better job if I can set the engine aside. How do I separate the engine from the deck? I got the bottom muffler separated, but I can't figure how the top part comes off the bottom of the engine. Open for ideas!!

The C engine should be similar to the D. Remove the muffler, 2 bolts, and there should be 3 mounting bolts that hold the engine to the muffler plate. Here is a picture of a D plate. You can see the two holes on one side with one hole opposite. Remove engine and then unbolt the muffler plate from the deck. Easy!! Bill

Thank you! That's exactly what i needed to see. Taking it apart, that seemed like a step too far, but there you go. Perfect. I got it painted - not perfect, but good enough. Color was pretty close - the gas tank I left original....
