valve lash?

Well, I did something stupid....was using my Ironton (sold by Northern Tools) pressure washer. I thought it was rather low on pressure. After quite a while, it ran out of gas. I filled it up, and started it up. That's when I realized that I had been running it with the choke on the whole time! I turned off the choke, and it backfired and died. Now, it only backfires....won't start. I thought that maybe I had sheared the key, but it was fine. I'm guessing that the valves (OHV) need adjusting, but I can't find valve specs anywhere! Its an Ironton 2600psi pressure washer, and the motor is 180cc, model number 2623HP-IR-001E. Any idea where I can find the correct valve lash? Thanks.

Update.....after putting everything back together, it started right up! Ran for about 30 seconds, then died. Now, it will start on choke, and will run only on about 1/2 choke, but poorly at that. Any thoughts?

Make sure you have good fuel flow to the carb.... Choking it ritchens the mixture of air and gas, so you're aren't getting enough gas, or too much air.
Usually if I can't find a lash spec I set em at 005" and 005"

You can only learn if you ask the question, so there are no dumb questions.

in 50 years of running a ope shop , i'ts found way more common when run out of gas, to suck up a chunk of dirt from inside the bowl into the main jet, than finding a restricted fuel line
with today's junk gas that junk is most likely from dried out ethanol in the bowls bottom .
