For Sale: Murray 8HP, 30" Rear Engine Riding Mower

I'm selling my 1986 Murray 8HP, 30" cut riding mower. I purchased it new in Jan. 1987 and it's been garage kept and maintained by me. It comes with 2 ignition keys, 1 regular blade, 2 mulching blades, side chute, original owners manual and parts book with diagrams and part numbers. I replaced the Peerless differential in 2010, along with bushings and chain tensioner. I hate to part with the mower, but I purchased a new Snapper RE110 last month.

$150.00 or best offer. I'm located in North Tampa, FL.
The pictures I'm attaching were taken on 6/9/2017.

Holy cow that mower is amazing. It looks like it's right off the showroom floor. That's a one of a kind and if I were 3,000 miles closer to you I'd probably buy it. Awesome job taking care of that over the last 30 years.

Did you advertise on Craigslist or another local Source?
I think you should move that quickly!
Good luck and nice job keeping it clean!

Thanks....no, I haven't advertised on Craigslist or anywhere else but on a couple of mower forums. I'm leery of using craiglist, and I haven't placed an ad in the newspaper since the early '90's when I sold some furniture.
My wife thinks I should just fill it full of gas, leave the keys in it and park it by the curb.

slk, Is the wife on facebook? Some have local garage sale sites too. I've had good experience with CL 99%, but I can understand feeling a little uneasy. You can do the ad without putting any contact numbers or names, CL scrambles your email address, so the potential buyers only respond to a CL item number, not your actual email. It still gets to you, but they don't know it until you respond. Read through the messages and pick the ones that seem well written and don't ask "Wil yu take $50, I beabal to com this day"
