Welcome to the site!

Well for starters, what brand and model machine is it? Is it a hydrostat or gear drive?

One thing to check for right off hand would be the belt tension. A slipping belt could cause this. Also if it is a hydrostat, confirm the hydrostatic relief is fully disengaged and not partially pulled.

Welcome Alex!

Another thought would be that if it uses a key and lock ring rather then lug nuts to hold the rear wheels on, one of the keys may have sheared allowing the wheel to turn on the axle.
